Sagittarius Sun • Gemini Moon

I figured a good first post would be a reflection on my birth astrology! Just as the title states; at my time of birth, December 14th, 1997 at 3:10am, the sun was is in Sagittarius (fire) and my moon was in Gemini (air). Your sun sign dictates your zodiac personality, so in generalized horoscopes I search for Sagittarius as my overall reading. My rising sign is Scorpio (water), also called your ascendant, the rising sign is what was rising over the eastern horizon when you are born. It can affect appearance, attitude, and the way you come across to others. So your rising sign is how you hold yourself and is in your control. Associating myself as Scorpio conflicts me because it says common traits are impulsive, hot-headed, ambitious and combative. I am not sure I live up to that, well maybe ambitious. Maybe that is because I have special moon placement that balances me out.

The moon sign shapes your emotions and your soul. It colors your subconscious, everything going on below the surface. Like your deepest needs and what helps you feel emotionally secure. Basically your moon dictates your intuition, what comes naturally. I was born three and a half days after the Full Moon rose, therefore I am very connected to the moon. This soli-lunar configuration gives me an objective, rational, and lucid character. However, since the Moon is opposite the Sun at the time of the Full Moon, my objective tendencies are balanced by a more idealistic, strong, habitual liking. Therefore the forces pull me in two ways - one towards dreams, the other to reality.

If you take a peek at my chart to the left you can see my sun and moon are parallel to each other. You can also see a red line connecting my moon to Venus. Venus, The planet of love and beauty, enhances my femininity and and creativeness.

I will most likely write more about astrology when I learn more. But for now here is a basic report on my birth chart.
